High School Sailing

Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club currently hosts four High School teams. During the season the teams travel throughout California, participating in local So Cal Regattas plus 5 PCISA Regattas. The PCISA (Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Sailing Association) regattas are qualifiers for the Mallory Cup Regatta which is the National High School Sailing Championship. The So Cal events are stand-alone regattas which allow Freshmen to Seniors and even 8th Graders to gain valuable racing experience. Palos Verdes High School, San Pedro High School and Port Of Los Angles High School are the teams presently sailing from Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club.

• Palos Verdes and Pennisnula High School will practice Monday/ Wednesday
• San Pedro and POLA will practice Tuesday/ Thursday

All first time participants, feel free to come down for the first two practices and check it out. Please contact the High School Sailing Coach Steve (310.519.1694 x201) and let him know that you are interested. Scholarships are available baised on financial need.
