Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club is an active racing club and hosts many regional and national level regattas. We have hosted, J80's, I14 National Championships, 29er's, Opti North American Championships, and of course Cal20 Championships. Additionally, we have a number of offshore races each year including the "Around Catalina" race in joint organization with Dana Point Yacht Club. This race is also part of the YRUSC Offshore Championship, Dana Point Offshore Championship, and the Ullman Sails Offshore Championship.

CBYC hosts one of the largest fleets of Cal 20’s in Southern California. The boat is a perfect match to our Hurricane Gulch conditions. Fun, simple, economical and rewarding to the sailor. Our one design fleets, Cal20, Mecury, and 29er's sail throughout the year and weekly from May through September.
