The Membership Committee shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the Commodore with the approval of the Board of Directors.  At least one member shall be a member of the Board.  The committee shall be responsible for reviewing applications for membership, interviewing applicants, making recommendations concerning approval or rejection of applications, and other related duties as additionally provided in Article VII.  The Committee shall elect a Chair and a Vice Chair.  the Vice Chair shall preside at committee meetings in the absence or incapacity of the Chair.
