Join Us On The Water
Be part of our world-class sailing program! As part of our rich history and enduring legacy, our members and their guests are invited to participate in a variety of on-water racing events, boating activities and educational programs. We are proud to be recognized by US Sailing for our commitment to hosting world-class regattas including one of our signature events the US Sailing Junior Olympics.
Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club members enjoy reciprocal privileges at other clubs throughout the United States and Canada as well as being welcomed at many clubs around the world! Challenge yourself to exchange our club burgee with another that cannot be found in our bar area.
We encourage all of our members to keep their boat in either our marina slips or dry storage yard. Many great dock parties organically happen between members returning from a regatta or cruise. The revenue from the marina also helps subsidize the operation of our Club.
Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club is the perfect spot to unwind from the demands of everyday life.
Our Membership Process
We welcome inquiries for membership from those who would like to join. We offer a sliding scale based on age for our membership fees. To learn more, please contact Melissa Winter our Membership Chair at (Membership@cbyc.org).
Our membership process starts once your completed membership packet has been submitted. This includes the completed Membership Form with the endorsement of two current members, and the deposit. As part of the process, our Membership Committee meets each month to invite membership candidates to a meeting to review the prospect’s background including personal and boating experience as well as inform the candidates our Club's rules and regulations as well as operations.
We understand that membership candidates may be new to the area or not know current members who can endorse them. If you are interested in membership and don’t know any of our current members, we offer several options to introduce you to a mentor and allow us to get to know you. For more information, contact our Membership Chair
Melissa Winter (Membership@cbyc.org).
